Summary
[edit]DescriptionWarwick Castle Park, Spiers Lodge - geograph.org.uk - 1183173.jpg |
English: Warwick Castle Park: Spiers Lodge The Lodge, in the 'gothick' style, was completed around 1750 as part of the remodelling of the park by Francis Greville, Earl of Warwick. It forms a focal point in views from the south side of the Castle over 1.5km away. It was occupied by servants of the estate although there was a summer apartment retained for the use of the Earl and his family. In 1903-4 the Countess added a garden designed by Harold Peto.
Warwick Castle Park is not open to the public. Spiers Lodge is now a private residence. |
