[edit]DescriptionWarren House, Dartington - geograph.org.uk - 1010497.jpg |
Warren House, Dartington, Devon, England. The houses in Warren Lane "were designed in the 1930s by William Lescaze and Robert Hening and built by Staverton Builders ... Warren House was built in 1935 by William Lescaze, with assistance from Robert Hening, and is a superb example of an international modern style house. It was built for Kurt Jooss as teaching space and accommodation for the Ballet Jooss which was based on the Dartington Hall Estate between 1934 and 1940. Later, Warren House was for many years the home of Peter Cox, the Principal of Dartington College of Arts, and latterly it was the base for the Dartington Social Research Unit. |
