Description Wappen derer von Kreutzen und derer von Zechau (gemäß Siebmacher (vgl. dazu auch hier 1 und hier 2); heutige Schreibweisen der Familie des osterländischen Uradels: von Creytz bzw. von Kreutz). Der Name des Stammhauses ist Creutzen (Schreibweise noch 1974) bei Zechau, nahe Altenburg (heute Kreutzen, Ortsteil der Gemeinde Starkenberg). Vgl. Genealogisches Handbuch des Adels, Adelslexikon Bd.
