Object history Die beiden silbernen Balken stammen aus dem Wappen der Herren von Burk, die im 13. Jahrhundert nachweisbar sind. Zugleich stehen die Balken redend für den Ortsnamen. Die Farben Rot und Silber erinnern an das Hochstift Eichstätt, das die Patronatsrechte für die Pfarrei Burk innehatte. Die Zollernvierung von Silber und Schwarz im Schildhaupt weist auf die Landeshoheit der Markgrafen von Brandenburg-Ansbach.
