English: Walter Max Guido Jockisch (born February 20, 1907 in Arolsen, Free State of Waldeck; † March 22, 1970 in Munich, Bavaria) was a German educator (teacher of German), playwright, librettist, opera director and artistic director. From 1960 until his death he was married to writer and photographer Grete Weil, née Dispeker (1906–1999), whom he had known from his youth.
