Summary

[edit]
Description

Detail of Medieval Royal Armouries Ms. I.33, fol. 32r (p. 63).[1] Note that this is not a rectancular crop of the original; the figure has been cut out along its outlines, replacing the surrounding parchment and text with a white background.

The detail is from one of four illustrations on fol. 32 of this manuscript where the "scholar" (student) is replaced by a woman, called "Walpurgis" in the ms. text.
