English: Sgt. 1st Class Joshua Johnson, the 14th Public Affairs Detachment noncommissioned officer in-charge, plays the role of an 11 year-old girl raped by her older brother’s friend, during a quarterly SHARP training class held April 24 at the Oveta Culp Hobby Soldier and Family Readiness Center here. Johnson said, in his scenario little had been resolved because the more people his character told about what happened, the fewer people believed her. Eventually, his character slipped into depression. “This class was more interactive than normal PowerPoint SHARP classes; a hands-on approach is far more effective,” Johnson said. The intent of the class is to familiarize Soldiers with the whole process of SHARP. |
