Description
English: Within the Golden Acre is the remains of part of the reservoir built in 1663 by the second Dutch Commander, Zacharias Wagenaar. It is the oldest remaining European structure in South Africa. Model of the Jan van Riebeeck's Fort de Goede Hoop, built in 1652. Remains of it was recently in the media with the revamp of the Grand parade for the FIFA World Cup 2011 fanpark here. This model is found as part of the display at the Wagenaar Reservoir in the Golden Acre.
