Description Wappen der Walpod („Waelpot“) von Waltmannshausen, eines Stammes mit den Waldbott von Bassenheim, eines rheinischen Adelsgeschlechts, das erstmals 1136 urkundlich erwähnt wird mit den Brüdern Siegfriedus Gebhardus und Fridericus de Waltmaneshusen. Ab 1267 war die Familie im Besitz des Walpodenamtes der Grafen von Diez.
