Description
Polski: Gruziński punkt celny na granicy gruzińsko-rosyjskiej przebiegającej na północy Wąwozu Darialskiego, w północnej części historycznego regionu Khevi. W tle,na lewym brzegu rzeki Terek(Tergi), wschodnia ściana wzniesienia skalnego na którym w starożytności wybudowano szeroko znaną twierdzę strzegącą przeprawy przez Kaukaz Wielki. Forteca znana jest w źródłach antycznych jako Kumania, Dar-i-Ali. To Wrota Alańskie, Brama Alańska,Wrota Iberii, Wrota Kaukazu. Obiektyw aparatu skierowany jest na zachód.
English: Georgian customs point on the Georgian-Russian border running north of the Darial/Dariali Gorge, in the northern part of the historic Khevi region. In the background, on the left bank of the Terek River (Tergi), the eastern wall of the rock hill on which in the ancient times a well-known fortress guarding the crossing through the Caucasus was built. The fortress is known in ancient sources as Cumania, Dar-i-Ali. It is the Alans Gate, Iberia Gate, the Caucasus Gate. West facing photograph.
