Description
English: This is the latest image acquired by one of the Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites (on 19 November 2021 at 12:03 UTC) of the island of La Palma, Spain. It shows the new lava stream from the Cumbre Vieja volcano that has reached the sea, enlarging the lava delta formed in October. The Copernicus Emergency Management Service is monitoring the consequences of the eruption with radar and optical satellite imagery. It has produced 53 monitoring map products so far. All the mapping products are released on this website.
