Лучший преподаватель (увы, был. сейчас проживает в Дании) журналистики в РФ. Один из немногих русскоговорящих журналистов в мире с блестящей репутацией. Великолепный аналитик, мудрый философ и потрясающий прогнозист. Профессионал до мозга костей. Горжусь знакомством. Всегда ходил на лекции Владимира Ивановича как на праздник. Всегда видел в нас — своих студентах — равных себе по интеллекту (что было, увы, почти всегда, за редкими исключениями, не так) и всегда честно говорил обо всём. Обезоруживающе честно. Один из умнейших людей людей в профессии.
