Description

Senado Federal recebe a visita de uma delegação de parlamentares do Reino Unido que atuam no âmbito da União Interparlamentar (UIP), uma organização internacional dos parlamentos dos Estados soberanos que possuem legislaturas nacionais, cujo objetivo é mediar os contatos multilaterais entre parlamentares e promover reuniões mundiais e regionais para debater determinados temas.

Dentre os temas a serem discutidos, os parlamentares ingleses demonstraram interesse em debater questões climáticas, defesa de povos indígenas e direitos humanos, democracia e luta contra a corrupção, comércio e energia.

Chegada da delegação pela Chapelaria do Senado Federal.

Em destaque: deputado conservador de Rugby, membro do Subcomitê de Segurança Nacional e Investimento do BEIS, Mark Pawsey; e membro da Comissão de Seleção de Mulheres e Igualdade, da Comissão de Educação e membro da Comissão Consultiva de Obras de Arte do Orador, Kim Johnson.
