Description
English: This Picture was taken during the Virupaksha car festival in Hampi, India infront of the Sree Virupaksha Temple. The festival is held during the months of March or April (based on the local calendar). The Virupaksha car festival is the largest festival in Hampi. There are two giant wooden chariot (one is for the god and one for the goddess) wich get pulled along the main chariot street in Hampi. The festival marks the annual ritual marriage of the god and the goddess.
