Description
Deutsch: Flügel aus dem Jahr 1905. Zitronenholzfurnier mit Einlegearbeiten und Bemalungen. Der Flügel im Empire-Stil wurde um 1905 von dem Hof-Piano-Fabrikanten Rud. Ibach Sohn aus Barmen für das Musikzimmer der Familie Krupp in Villa Hügel angefertigt. Den Entwurf für das Instrumentengehäuse lieferte die Mainzer Hofmöbelfabrik A. Bembé.

In drei gemalten ovalen Medaillons sind Allegorien der Musik dargestellt: Frauengestalten in fließenden Gewändern tragen als Attribute der Musik verschiedene Instrumente. Rechte Seite: Frauengestalt mit Tamburin und geflügelter Putto mit Laute. Rückseite: Frauengestalt mit Lyra und Schwan. Linke Seite: Frauengestalt mit Posaune und Putto mit Triangel.

Der Flügel wurde der Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach-Stiftung im Jahre 1997 von den letzten Eigentümern Ilse und Raimund Kluber, Darmstadt, übereignet. Die Stiftung ermöglichte 1998 die umfassende Restaurierung des Instrumentes.
