Deutsch: Die Villa Blumenhalde in Aarau entstand 1817/18 nach den Plänen von Heinrich Zschokke (1771-1848), deutscher Schriftsteller, Pädagoge und bedeutender Staatsmann, der sich 1802 in Aarau niedergelassen hatte. Hier wohnte er mit seiner Ehefrau Nany Rüsperli, seinen zwölf Jungen und seiner einzigen Tochter, Das Gebäude steht am Südhang des Hungerberges, nördlich der Kettenbrücke. Der Altstadt am gegenüberliegenden Ufer der Aare zugewandt, dokumentiert es die Wohnvorstellungen des führenden Bürgertums zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts. Die klassizistische Villa mit zweigeschossigem Mitteltrakt wird von zwei schmalen, ebenfalls zweigeschossigen Seitentrakten flankiert. Die Südfassade besitzt einen vierachsigen Mittelrisalit, der von einem dreieckigen Giebel mit Lünette abgeschlossen wird. An der Rückseite schliesst sich ein Erweiterungsbau mit verglastem Innenhof der Architekten Meier und Oehler aus den Jahren 1989/90 an; Quelle:SchweizerBau Dokumentation: www.baudokumentation.ch.
