English: View towards Lodge Wood from Warwick Castle. Looking south over the adjacent square from The Mound at Warwick Castle across the meadowland which has since the 14th century formed part of the Castle Park. In the distance on the hillside is Lodge Wood and Spier's Lodge can just be seen in the trees. The course of the River Avon is marked by the line of low trees to the right of centre of the picture. |
