Description
This woman, depicted during the First Empire, is wearing an English-style spencer jacket as well as a simple walking dress. The dress falls straight, without fold from the empire-waist to the floor and is adorned simply by a ruff. She wears a high-necked lace collar, which came back into style during the 1st empire.
