Lincoln Goodale presented land to the City of Columbus for a public park, by a deed dated, November 15, 1851.The area for the lake was excavated in 1891. Construction of the boathouse, which also served as a refreshment place and veranda, took place in 1895. The lake was removed in 1953. |
