English: View from Parkend station footbridge in 1994 This is how the line at Parkend looked before it was recomissioned by the Dean Forest Railway. The line here was used by stone trains until 1976, after which date it fell into disuse until it was taken over by the Dean Forest Railway. Parkend station was extensively rebuilt in 2005 and is now the northern terminus - for the moment - of the DFR. |
