Summary
[edit]DescriptionView NNW from Crugiau Cemaes - geograph.org.uk - 1741915.jpg |
English: View NNW from Crugiau Cemaes The hill on which the Crugiau stand is made from the sand and gravel that was dumped here and there by the retreating ice at the end of the last ice age. It is quarried at various locations nearby for aggregate, notably at Trefigin (SN137435) and Penyparc (SN201484). In this view the undulating sandy deposit can be seen stretching northward. Beyond and hidden by the central knoll is the notch of Cwm Trewyddel and Ceibwr. |
