Summary
[edit]DescriptionVictoria Bus Station - geograph.org.uk - 1544055.jpg |
English: East end of the bays of Victoria bus station. Closest to the camera are two MA class bendy buses on route 38 and 73. Introduced in June 2002, their days in London service were numbered by the time of this photo, as indicated by the presence of a London General MEC class rigid bus on route 507. Having been the first route (with the 521) to be converted to bendy bus operation, and after a political sea change, the 507 was the first to be converted back to rigid buses, a few months prior to this shot. The same fate eventually came to the 38 and 73, albeit with double-deckers. Both the MA and MEC class were built by the same manufacturer - Mercedes-Benz, being part of their Citaro family. |
