Summary
[edit]DescriptionVictoria Bridge, circa 1874.jpg |
English: The first permanent Victoria Bridge across the Brisbane River, c. 1874. The attribution of this date is based on content of the photograph. The bridge was commenced in 1864, completed in 1874 and destroyed by flood in February 1893. The bridge operated as a toll bridge until 1877 and it appears that the toll house is operational in this image. |
