Officially the Universal Carrier No.1 Mk.2, some 113,000 were built between 1934 and 1960. Originally used as a machine gun platform, hence the Bren Gun Carrier name, they were mostly used for transporting personnel and equipment. National Army Museum in Chelsea, London. 6th April 2022 |
