Español: Detalle del retrato del general Vicente Aguirre, por Antonio Salas (1824). La pintura fue comisionada por Juan José Flores, entonces jefe de los Ejércitos del Distrito del Sur de la Gran Colombia (actual Ecuador), para decorar la gran galería de su Quinta El Placer en la ciudad de Quito. El cuadro es parte de una serie de 12 lienzos que retratan a los héroes de la Independencia ecuatoriana.
