Description
English: The so-called Venus with a shell. Roman artwork sculpted in marble around 130–140 CE., based on a Chaste Aphrodite prototype from circa 155–150 BC. It was restored in the Renaissance (1533) by someone named B. Rovira (inscription), who sculpted a shell and the inscription "Praxiteles work".
Español: La llamada Venus de la concha. Obra romana esculpida en mármol hacia 130–140 d.C., que reproduce un prototipo de Afrodita púdica fechable hacia el 155–150 a.C. Fue restaurada en el Renacimiento por un personaje llamado B. Rovira (la inscripción de su nombre figura junto a la fecha de 1533), quien esculpió una concha y la inscripción "Obra de Praxíteles".
