Description
Français : Vase ornemental représentatif de la naissance du style néo-classique du 18 ème siècle, étant la concrétisation d’une gravure de Jacques Saly (1717-1776) par la manufacture de porcelaine de Derby en Angleterre de 1773 à 1790.

Deux exemplaires sont connus, l’un au musée Victoria and Albert Museum, l’autre au musée d'Indianapolis.

Vase en trois parties avec support et couvercle, décoré de rose et de glaçage recouverts de putti appliqués, d’animaux marins, de festons et de sphinx en biscuit.

En porcelaine tendre, coulée, peinte en émail rose et doré, avec parties en biscuit non émaillées

Marqué par incision dans la matière à la base de la partie centrale N 19.

Hauteur 41 cm, Largeur 21,5 cm à la base.
