Description
English: 'Vaart Vrij!'

Een monument voor de Amsterdamse (!) vakbondsleider Edo Fimmen (1881-1942). Zijn adagium was dat een vakbond moest optreden als een ijzeren vuist in een zijden handschoen. Vandaar dat het monument de vorm heeft van twee bokshandschoenen. Fimmen was de kopman van de Internationale Federatie van Transportbonden (ITF).


Het monument is ontworpen door Ben Zegers en werd in 1997 onthuld.
