Der "K 70" wurde ursprünglich von NSU entwickelt. Nach der Fusion mit der Auto Union zur Audi AG war dieses Modell jedoch neben dem Audi 100 "über". Da nun aber die Schwestermarke Volkswagen kein so richtig überzeugendes Auto in dieser Klasse hatte, wurde der K 70 zum VW umdekoriert. Hier führte das Modell nun jene Änderungen ein, die nur vier Jahre später mit dem Golf I den Weg in den Massenmarkt fanden: Eine vergleichsweise eckige Karosserie und ein wassergekühlter Frontmotor. Modell: Wiking (erstmals bereits in den 1970ern angeboten, in den letzten Jahren inzwischen drei Wiederauflagen). |
