Description

Virginia Military Institute ROTC Cadet David Tyler is a rising senior. He studies mechanical engineering and hopes to attend flight school after graduation and commissioning in the U.S. Air Force next year.

This summer, Tyler has been working with Dr. Carl Krauthauser and Melissa Klusewitz from ARL’s WMRD-Protection Division studying projectile impacts on various metals. The internship is part of the College and Qualified Leaders Program of the Academy of Applied Science.
