Description
English: The Volkswagen van is visiting from West Berlin, B-ZP 565. At this time, of course, borders for Germans did not exist, although visas were required with the usual DDR period conditions for non-German citizens. THE HISTORY OF CARL ZEISS AG is on this Wikipedia page.

The firm became Jenoptic Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH later in 1990,following reunification, then Jenoptik GmbH in 1992.
