Summary
[edit]DescriptionUrselbach near "Hohemark" 2.jpg |
English: The ca. 10 km long Urselbach today serves largely recreational purposes, meandering through the hills of the Taunus towards the Rhein-Main plains where it joins into the Nidda river. In history it provided water to early Celtic settlers as well as later settlements that grew into the town of Ober- and Niederursel. The creek served an important role in the prosperity of the town built on milling activities with up to 42 mills being powered by the creek or man-made diversions of it. |
