Description Schönheide im Erzgebirge: Die von 1838 an genutzte untere Schule stand an der heutigen Hauptstraße 6. Flath, Geschichte Schönheides, S. 238: In der Neuzeit: Grundstück des Herrn Klempnermeisters Seidel (Werkstättengrundstück). Flath beschreibt auch die wechselnde Nutzung dieser Schule.
Die Geschwister-Scholl-Schule hatte eine Reihe von Vorgängerbauten, von denen nur noch eine im beginnenden 21. Jahrhundert steht: Die frühere mittlere Schule, auch Kirchschule genannt, - bis 1898 -, Hauptstraße 51. Siehe Beschreibungen der verschiedenen Schulbauten bei Flath, Geschichte Schönheides, Seiten (238, 247, 255, 257, 261 , ohne die Schulen in Schönheiderhammer, Neuheide und Wilzschhaus).
