Description
English:

Located at 4141 4th Ave. N.E. [sic: see below] On verso of image: University Herald office, 1919

  • Subjects (LCTGM): University herald (Seattle, Wash>); Newsrooms--Washington (State)--Seattle
  • Subjects (LCSH): Community newspapers--Washington (State)--Seattle

The University District Herald in Seattle published 1917-1974, and had direct successors that published until 2001. See https://www.loc.gov/item/sn87093443.

Listing in the 1919 Polk's Directory

According to the 1919 Polk's Directory for Seattle, the correct address is 4141 14th Ave. N.E. (not 4th). 14th Ave. N.E. is now University Way N.E., renamed that very year, 1919.

There is currently no 4100 block of 4th Ave. N.E., and probably never was: there is a long 4000 block from 40th to 42nd.
