I am flying to Boston on United Airlines this particular evening, and coming back a week later from Newark. Here is a look at the United Club, Terminal 7, LAX. Before the United-Continental merger in 2010, this was the lounge for the legacy United, under the brand name Red Carpet Club. Today and since 2010, post-merger, United maintains two lounges at LAX; the other is at Terminal 6, and was part of the Continental Presidents Club network. Even with the renaming and rebranding to fit the new United brand (which includes the adoption of the Continental Disco Ball as the new symbol of United), the glass door still has a clear cutout in the shape of the old United Tulip. |
