Description
English: U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Under Secretary Xochitl Torres Small participates in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new meat processing facility funded under the Meat and Poultry Intermediary Lending Program (MPILP) with Rural Partners Network (RPN) partners 70 miles northeast of Savannah, in Millen, GA, on Jan 30, 2023.

Under Secretary Xochitl Torres Small is joined by Georgia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper, Jenkins County Chamber of Commerce's Mandy Underwood, Fries Frozen Foods' Jarrod + Creasy, St. Matthew Catholic Church Father Jason Adams, and others for the groundbreaking. This will allow the Creasys to renovate their facility and add 12,000 square feet of operating space and an on-site retail store. The Rural Partners Network (RPN) is an all-of-government program that helps rural communities find resources and funding to create jobs, build infrastructure, and support long-term economic stability on their own terms.
