English: spread over 50 ha (123.6 acres) Ulsoor Lake is one of the biggest lakes in Bangalore situated on the eastern side of the city. It is named after the locality where is situated i.e., Halasuru, close to M G Road. The lake is dated to Kempe Gowdas's time but the present form of lake was created by Lewin Bentham Bowring, the then Commissioner of Bangalore. |
