- Aalesund ca. 1890 - 99 - Kristiansund 1900 - 07 - Namsos 1907 - 40 - Filial i Trondhjem ca. 1906

f. i Sande, Søndmøre 12.1.1873 - , sønn av Rasmus Abelsen Hatlebrekke og Oline Olsdtr. Simonnæss, g. 1897 m. Johanne Matilde Vadstrand (d. 22.5.1919), datter av Johan V. og Magnhild Myrabø, 2 sønner, 4 døtre. I lære hos onkelen fotograf E. O. Simonnæs i Aalesund i 4 år fra 1887, deretter svenn, til han ca. 1899 reiste til U.S.A. og arbeidet en tid i New York. I 1900 startet han egen forretning i Kristiansund og drev denne til 1907, deretter forretning i Namsos som ble krigsskadet i 1940. Hadde filial i Trondhjem ca. 1906. Han var formann i Prøvenevnden. Meget sanginteressert. Forretningen i Kristiansund ble drevet videre som "Simonnæs Efterfl.", det er mulig at også denne ble krigsskadet i 1940.
