Description
English: In een periode van grote wereldwijde militaire ontwikkelingen is de vraag: hoe ziet effectieve afschrikking eruit in de 21e eeuw? Dat vormt het onderwerp van de Annual Review of Military Studies (NL ARMS) dat de Faculteit Militaire Wetenschappen samenstelde. Minister Ank Bijleveld kreeg gisteren het 1e exemplaar overhandigd.Het boek heeft als titel ‘Deterrence in the 21st Century: Insights from Theory and Practice’. Daarin beschrijven commodore prof. dr. Frans Osinga en dr. Tim Sweijs de dringendste strategische uitdagingen en nieuwe militaire strategieën. De 2 auteurs brengen inzichten samen van wereldleidende experts van over de hele wereld. Zo onderzoeken ze of er een 5e golf van afschrikkingstheorie in opkomst is.
