English: U.S. Army Spc. John Synar (left), assigned to Troop K, 3rd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment grades Czech Army soldier, Master Sgt. Denis Frede (right) as he clears an M4 carbine during the Weapons qualification lane at the U.S. Army Europe Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) on November 7, 2023, at the E3B training site on Vilseck, Germany. As a prerequisite to competing, the competitors must have qualified expert with the M4 Carbine or M16 Rifle on a 300-meter range within six months of testing for the E3B, which is the Expert Soldier Badge (ESB), Expert Field Medic Badge (EFMB) and Expert Infantry Badge (EIB).
