English: U.S. Army Maj. Colin Begy (left), assigned to the 30th Medical Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, assists in grading Sgt. Caleb Norman (right), a medic assigned to the 1-4 Infantry Regiment, during the day-time land navigation as Norman competes to earn his Expert Field Medical Badge (E3B) on November 6, 2023, at Grafenwohr South Land Navigation Course, Germany. Day and nighttime land navigation is the second step in competing for these badges. Testing takes one week, and pass rates are usually at or below 20% of the starting number of candidates on their journey to earn their badge.
