All genres listed are strongly associated with a place in the United States. Some genres are listed in more than one place. All locations are approximate. Doing a Wikipedia search for any of the terms on the map should bring up an article specific to the topic. All the items in the Atlantic Ocean between the two dark blue lines are intended to be at New York City. Everything in the southern Pacific Ocean is intended to be at Los Angeles, Long Beach, Compton and/or other nearby areas.
Format
[edit]This map image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with
{{vector version available|new image name}} .
It is recommended to name the SVG file “USmusicmap.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter. |
