Description The U.S. Navy Destroyer Flotilla Five moored at Pearl Harbor, circa 1960. The flotilla had a four-fold mission including: sea defense of the Hawaiian Islands; antisubmarine warfare; Barrier Pacific; and regular rotations and deployments to the Seventh Fleet. USS Epperson (DDE-719) and USS Nicholas (DDE-449) are tied up in front.
