Description
English: At sea aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68) Jan. 27, 2003 -- Sailors watch as an F/A-18E “Super Hornet” assigned to the “Top Hatters” of Strike Fighter Squadron One Four (VFA-14) prepares to land on the ship’s flight deck during Joint Task Force Exercise (JTFX). JTFX is designed to test and evaluate a battle group’s reactions to multiple wartime scenarios from small craft attacks to land-based missile attacks and is the final certification for a battle group preparing to deploy.
