English: At sea Aboard USS La Salle (AGF 3) -- Two Sailors aboard the Sixth Fleet flagship “man up” a MK-38 25 mm machine gun while transiting the Straits of Messina. Sailors are trained on a variety of weapon systems and stand watches designed to protect the ship and the personnel on board. La Salle is heading back to its homeport of Gaeta, Italy, after a recent underway period which included a liberty port visit to Malta. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 2nd Class Todd Reeves.
