Description
English: US Fleet at San Juan, by Michel S. Grebyem (One of a pair of Paintings depicting the Spanish-American War). The fleet comprised the USS Iowa, Indiana, Massachusetts, Texas and Oregon, and two armored cruisers. The event depicted is one week after the Battle of Santiago Bay on 3 July 1898, when the battle fleet steamed into San Juan, Puerto Rico opposed only by limited shore batteries.
