English: Capt. Thomas Lorenson, representing the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, directs an AH-64 attack helicopter strike on a target at the close combat attack lane during the USAREUR Best Junior Officer Competition, Nov. 15, 2011. Company grade officers from units through the U.S. Army in Europe compete in the first annual Best Junior Officer Competition at the Joint Multinational Training Center which is the U.S.Army's only forward-deployed training command. The grueling three-day event challenged USAREUR's best officers on warrior tasks and drills, decision making, problem solving and leadership skills. |
