English: Staff Sgt. Craig Martin assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, are ready to go at the skijoring event. The team is pulled by a Small Unit Support Vehicle (SUSV) over a designated route. The team is competing in the U.S. Army Alaska Winter Games at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The games will test the Soldiers and the unit’s ability to execute required cold weather skills and tasks and build esprit de corps with tough, demanding and realistic training. There are 29 teams, each team is comprised of ten soldiers. The teams are competing in seven different events March 10-13. March 12, 2014. |
