Description
English: President Barack Obama posthumously awards Army Sgt. 1st. Class Jared C. Monti from the 10th Mountain Division the Medal of Honor and presents it to his parents Paul and Janet Monti Sept. 17 in the East Room of the White House. "Jared Monti saw danger before him and he went out to meet it," Obama said about the first Soldier to receive the medal for valor in Afghanistan.
