Description 5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Aug. 31, 2013) – Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Roy L. Franklin looks through a thermal imager to find simulated hot spots during a training exercise aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56). San Jacinto is deployed as part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
